Shameka has held Chief Financial Officer roles across various private, public, and non-profit sectors., where she implemented accounting policies and procedures to ensure financial statements adhered to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). She also played a pivotal role in developing departmental and organizational budgets.
Additionally, she has served as a Board Member for SAMGMA (San Antonio Medical Group Management Association), and has active memberships with MGMA (Medical Group Management Association), TX MGMA (Texas Medical Group Management Association), and the Institute of Management Accountants, San Antonio Chapter.
